It is said that every journey begins with a step. Most business ventures began with an idea. We humans are extremely talented with loads of ideas however, a lot of these ideas go untapped or un-nurtured. Our ideas are like flowers, if unattended to, our ideas will die. Our problem is not the inability to dream or think big but to turn those thoughts or ideas into action thus making it a reality. Ben Carson who wrote the book “Think Big” did not only think but decided to push himself by making his giant thoughts a reality making him one of the greatest neurosurgeons of our time.
You might say I do not have any talent or I am unable to come up with a unique idea that does not already exist. Look deep within and you will find that one thing you do effortlessly where other people struggle, that is your talent. Identify your talent and build your idea around it. No matter how insignificant it is, as long as there is a need out there to be met, you will succeed with a lot of perseverance and planning. Talk to someone or research that area, develop it and transform it into a reality being the best you can be and yet unique.
You are born to win, but to be a winner;
you must plan to win, prepare to win
and expect to win
Everyone has got ideas, everyone can dream or wish to have great things happen for them but it is the select few that decide to take a step that succeed. You may start and fail, but don’t give up. Try and try and keep trying until you succeed. Some people might laugh at your ideas or business plan, but who cares. Big manufacturers laughed at James Dyson’s cyclone idea for vacuum cleaners when he offered it to them. He went off and started his own company and today, the Dyson brand is one of the most widely sold vacuum cleaners in the world and yet the same manufacturers have adapted his cyclone technology for their products after losing market share. Zig Ziglar said “You are born to win, but to be a winner; you must plan to win, prepare to win and expect to win.” Have the mindset of a winner even before starting off. If you try and fail, you are better than someone who did nothing. At least you would have learnt from your mistakes therefore making yourself better at what you do and ultimately the best in that field.
T.D Jakes said “riches is what we have but wealth is what we are.” Friends, we have wealth inside of us. Please let us act on it and transform it. Take a step.
